Lack of Internet Access in the Digital Age

Having access to wireless connections has become an integral part of our lives. During the COVID-19 pandemic we saw how useful the internet can be, in order to social distance people began to work from home and attend class virtually to upkeep our lives. However, what happens if you don't have access to broadband? The pipeline to your job, your school, and your friends is not there.

Now society has slowly shifted to a hybrid world throughout the years. More and more people can work from home or hold jobs in different states, and students can access their teachers through google classroom and email. So, if you don't have access to broadband or the technology to access it, you will be left behind. For my Digital Communication, Information and Media minor I wan to explore the consequences of the lack of access to broadband, especially in children.
